The 2 key fairness benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, on Thursday snapped their two-day successful run and closed flat as buyers shun funding in IT shares following weak quarterly consequence by TCS in Q2. The S&P BSE Sensex closed the session at 66,408, down 65 factors. Then again, the NSE Nifty50 shut store at 19,794, down 17 factors.
On the 30-share Sensex platform, TechM, Infosys, TCS, HCL, Bajaj Finance, Wipro had been amongst notable losers. On the flip aspect, Maruti, NTPC, PowerGrid, M&M, JSW Metal, HDFC Financial institution emerged losers.
Within the broader markets, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose 0.3 per cent and 0.6 per cent increased, respectively.
