College students at St Andrews College have doused one another in shaving foam as a part of conventional celebrations to welcome new undergraduates.
As a part of Raisin Week, the college has a mentoring scheme the place freshers are adopted as “kids” by older college students, who act as their “dad and mom”.
The custom is meant to assist freshers meet new individuals and settle in.
On the ultimate weekend, college students are inspired to play pranks and are entertained by their older friends.
Practically 1,000 college students gathered on St Salvator’s decrease faculty garden on the college in Fifeto participate within the annual Raisin Monday foam combat.
Most of the “kids” dressed up in flamboyant costumes and have been doused in foam.
College students donated meals to the Storehouse meals financial institution in St Andrews, and “kids” got objects with Latin inscriptions by their mentors.
