An Air China flight was compelled to make an emergency touchdown after the engine caught fireplace and the airplane cabin stuffed with smoke.
Flight CA403 was flying to Singapore from Chengdu, China on 10 September when the incident occurred.
Singapore’s Changi airport confirmed that the flight crew “reported smoke within the ahead cargo maintain and toilet” at round 4pm, and that the plane was given precedence to land on the airport at about 4.15pm after declaring an emergency.
“After touchdown, emergency slides of the plane had been deployed for expeditious evacuation,” the airport mentioned in an announcement.
Video clips filmed by passengers have been shared on X, previously often known as Twitter, exhibiting smoke within the airplane cabin and people onboard subsequently disembarking through the inflatable emergency slides.
